True story: I was born with out the bride gene. (thank you, Hillary.)
As a little girl, I never played bride. I never ever planned a wedding. Never made a Pinterest board about weddings. Never picked out a "dream" ring.
I knew finding the best catch ever was going to be enough work so I evaded the other stuff!
Boy it was worth it!
How I reeled in John Gemma still blows my mind! I am and always have been enamored with this guy!
Anyway, 7+ months and I am just now going through wedding photos.
You'll see that I appear to be a "drab" bride - it was just not my thing. Not the heavy dress in the middle of an Arkansas drought. Not the rain that flattened my hair and washed off my makeup (oh yes, rain in a drought!). Not the awkwardness of people looking at me. None of it!
John asked, "Em! What was your favorite part of the day?" To which I replied, "Leaving. Getting in your car, taking off those shoes, and just being next to you."

ReplyDeleteFunny story - I was the saaaame way about wedding and marriage. I didn't even know what Pinterest was before our wedding but still, I never thought I'd even get married. Until I met "the one". We've been married a little over a year now and I couldn't be happier! =]

Although, I must admit that when I was little, I didn't play bride either. Never picked out a dream ring either. But I planned my wedding with as best as I could :).
