What Medical School Has Taught Me... (ha!)

Okay,no, I'm not the med student, but my husband is! Thus, a lifestyle change.
I won't bore you with the serious "changes" because the superficial ones are more relevant here!

You may have alreadynoticed that gingham is my thang.
I owngingham button-downs in several colors because of the versatility. They are layering essentials, they look great alone, and they are multi-seasonal. I've learned that the medical school budget for one who loves shopping is tight so creativity is a must.  I’m constantly forcing myself to think outsideof the box! I have also learned that those nights John’s at the hospital practicing his surgical skills is the best time to channel my inner designer. John appreciates this hobby of mine, because we can study together, kinda.
He learns about the body and I learn how to cover it!

Ona different note, John’s last week of surgery is this week! I couldn’t behappier. We are so going to be celebrating his birthday next weekend… finally!Anyway, he caught this photo this morning and I figured I’d share…. It truly ishow I feel about surgery coming to an end.

  13. Hi! I'm so glad I found your blog. My boyfriend is ... (wait for it..) named Jon, in his 3rd year of med school AND also in his surgery rotation. So crazy! You're lucky that your JoHn is done in a week, I can't wait for my Jon's surgery stint to be over with - its the worst :)I completely agree with your statement that being with a med student is a lifestyle change. It certainly is! Your blog is adorable, I'll definitely be following!
