Red just so happens to by one of my ‘it’ colors this season. When I saw this cheery, bold dress on Modcloth I couldn’t help but fall in love! Personally, I prefer the a-line silhouette, seeing as it is flattering on many body types. The temperatures are slowly but surely dropping and my favorite way to ‘winterize’ a dress like this is to put a striped turtleneck or a crisp, white button down underneath. Of course, if you are going out for a night on the town you’ll need another layer to keep you nice and warm so this vintage inspired, checkered cape will be the perfect touch. If you are anything like me, you are not a fan of cold hands, so a playful pair of mittens or gloves are a nice, but functional way to accessorize your look… and a warm cup of coffee always helps a little, too! Adding polka dot tights gives the look a bit more femininity & the booties give a little bit of edge (and comfort!). Top off your wintry, chic look by carrying a structured handbag & shiny earrings!

I love it how polka dot tights have become the "in" thing. It will be a big push but I'd love to see if I could some how pull it off.

I LOVE red! I have been eyeing up a pair of red knit jeggings for weeks and can't decide if I can pull them off. It's just so fun to play with. I also have those polka dotted tights (from forever 21). Tights are my winter staple! Thanks for sharing, great post!
