Gearing Up…

j

I’ve been gearing up for the warmer temps by eyeing several bright [pink] things to implement into my wardrobe. Personally I splurge more on items that I know I’ll use daily – like a bag, watch, or shoes… these are the things I’ve been loving lately & I know I will wear often throughout the spring & summer months.

Hope you all had a great week! John just finished his first week of a general surgery rotation. So three weeks left…wahoo! (He has one rotation left after this – it is in North Carolina.) I am so not a fan of surgery rotations – I feel so bad for him but this one has not been too crazy.  I can’t even believe it but the Match is next week… next Friday we will find out where we will be ending up. Anyone participating in the Match or have friends that will be finding out? I like hearing about other people’s journeys! Let me know & I’ll add you to my prayer list. 🙂

SIDENOTE: If you haven’t entered to win the Monogram Necklace OR Ditto’s Jeans – don’t forget.

  1. LMAO Love your reasoning, I'm definately telling my boyfriend this as he rolls his eyes regarding my splurging. If I'm gonna wear it a lot its an investment in being fabulous lol. Totally love these items especially the bag.

  2. I'm a third year in med school but I know a lot of the people in the class ahead of me and I am so excited to see them all match! Good luck! (oh and I agree, I am also NOT a fan of surgery rotations!)

  3. Love your splurge ideas. I completely agree. It's totally worth it when it's a staple in your wardrobe. I generally tell my husband if you divide the amount of days I am wearing this pretty watch etc. by the price it's less than dinner. Hehe. Finding my little ways to justify splurges. Love that you chose pink. It's one of my faves.

  4. I agree it's worth spending the money on something like bags or shoes, but I have such a hard time choosing when I know it's something I'll wear everyday! I've been planning on saving up and investing in a great Marc Jacobs or Tory Burch bag, but then I can't choose! I guess it's a shopping form of commitment phobia. I'm leaning towards a bright Tory Burch bag for the summer since I have a gift card to the outlet store here, but we'll see… Good luck with John's matching day! I have a lot of friends who went the med school route and I remember how stressful it was for them. But at least he's one step closer to being an MD!

  5. Love your selections…the pink handbag is a real treat!
Good luck with everything, I love your updates on how your husband is doing…my husband is training hard too for our future and it can be a real struggle at times. It's a real test of each others patience and support.
Hope you had a great weekend!
