Happy Friday, everyone! I am excited to update you all on Fashion Week thus far. It has only been one day in, but I am thrilled to share about the Marissa Webb show & the backstage experience. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I am partnering with TRESemmé for their 15th season as the official hair care sponsor of NYFW! Anyway, Yesterday (Day 1) of Fashion Week I woke up, went to Starbs (basic, I know) and then headed over to the TRESemmé salon to get my hair styled. I asked for loose waves with a little bit of volume. It wasn't a pretty day here in NYC so I didn't want anything too crazy. (You can see photos of my hair in the images above..)
Next thing - I wanted to share some images I snapped from the Marissa Webb show. Marissa Webb is one of my FAVE shows to go to - her line is always the perfect mix of masculine + feminine and she always outdoes herself! Take note of the fringe on the shoes, vests, military inspired pieces, leather, & lace..
TRESemmé styled the model's hair for the show and I was so fortunate to get to join the stylists backstage to watch as the models got their hair styled. There were 2 styles: the side-swept down do & the side-swept bun. I LOVED the bun! In fact, I'll share how they achieved this style.. So, the model started with wet hair and the stylist used the Perfectly (un)Done Wave Creation Sea Foam to dry the hair w/a natural texture. Then, they created a deep, side part & then sprayed (one of my long time faves) Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo on the hair to absorb excess oil & then secured the hair to the side in a messy, loose bun. Next, they used the TRESemmé Extra Firm Gel along the hairline to create a glossy finish & finally finished the look with the TRESemmé Tres Two Extra Firm Control Hairspray!
Thanks to TRESemmé, a product of Unilever, for sponsoring todays post.
