The night before last, John got off work and we drove to Dallas and spent the night. We have a gala to attend and I had Rent the Runway send a couple of dresses – both big sizes and neither would zip!!! It was hysterical/embarassing. Also, they were like high waters on me because my stomach is so big that it raised it up like 5 inches. Luckily, they overnighted me a Long version of the dress and it worked.
But on that same note, I was trying to find something to pack to wear in Dallas and literally nothing fits me. Nothing. I mean – this is normal right?!? Any who, I went to Nordstrom after breakfast and almost cried I was so happy to find this pretty white dress! It has a babydoll shape to it and runs a little large. Also, it isn’t too short – most dresses lately are so dang short. Unfortunately, the slip that is built in was WAY too short so I ran upstairs of Nordstrom and bought this slip – which is a-maze-ing! Seriously, if you are concerned about any dresses being too tight, see through, etc. – get this slip. It sucks you in and smooths you out! I’m sure I’ll be wearing it a lot the next few months.
Okay, finally, I’ve had a few questions about these shoes so I thought I’d answer them. They are SO comfy and run true to size! AND they go with absolutely everything. The past few years, I’ve bought a pair of nude mules every spring because they elongate your legs, are easy to slip on, and go with basically all of your outfits. I got tons of compliments on these yesterday at the mall! If you don’t like the perforated look, try THESE. I almost ordered them instead but I had some similar already. I’m going to link a few other really cute spring shoes in the widget below!
Hope you all are having a fun week so far – and also getting this beautiful weather!
Thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring todays post.
