Almost every single time, without fail, I go to Sephora and leave with a bag FULL of fun new products to try. Sephora is totally my happy place, no joke. Sadly, Luke is getting to the age where our trips aren’t lasting quite as long, lol!! I posted a video around New Years of me shopping in there with Luke in his car seat (he was 8 mos old) and I’d sit something I was purchasing with him and he’d use his feet to kick it out and then crack up laughing when he ‘got caught’! I think that was the exact moment I realized that my Sephora trips may have to take place from the comfort of my home (online) or just crazy fast. No more long walks down the aisles of Sephora for this momma! 🙂 Anyway, each time I Insta-story that I am shopping, I get sooooo many requests for a ‘Sephora Haul’. However, I actually don’t like to do ‘hauls’ because I’d like to only talk about products that are truly ‘hits’ and that are worth the money! All of this rambling to say that today, I wanted to share some recent ‘hits’ from the past 2 months of Sephora strolls.
First things first, this new Marc Jacobs ‘Le Marc Liquid Lip Creme’. Oh-em-gee!!! I love this stuff and wear it SO often!! Each time I have it on my IG-stories I get so many questions asking what lippie I am wearing. My go-to nude shade is ‘Fawn Over Me’ but I like most every color in the collection. It’s hydrating and glossy and stays on for SO long!!! It says ‘8 Hour Wear’ – I never test that – but I know for sure it is long wearing!
Next up is a product I’ve used so much the past year and I continue to get compliments on & it is my Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in the shade ‘Kitten Karma’. This stuff is gorgggggeeeous! I just use matte shades in my crease & then the last step is kind of patting this on my lid & it looks like I really put a lot of effort into the look, lol! I receive many compliments when I wear this shadow.
Speaking of eye shadows, we have been traveling a ton and I’ve opted for this little palette called the “Obsessions Eye Shadow Palette” by Huda Beauty. I have the Warm Brown palette – I did have the ‘Smokey’ but can’t find it right now! I adore the silver glitter in it. The reason I opt for these is because they are so so small & compact, thus being easy to travel with.. not to mention they have a perfect transition color, glitter, & dark color. I really love that she made small palettes like this!
Okay, so Monday I mentioned I have a new foundation I really love and it is the new NARS foundation. I believe it is called ‘NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation’. You guys! This stuff is beautiful and the name alone speaks to me on so many levels! I mean, natural – radiant – longwear?! Hello! It’s beautiful and does have a very natural feel & look – but its very smooth & gorgeous. It doesn’t leave my skin dewy at all, it honestly has a matte look but it just looks soft & beautiful on the skin. I wear the shade ‘Barcelona’ (when spray tanned!).
Just thought I’d throw this one out there, while pregnant [last spring] I mentioned my hair was getting super dry due to my balayage and that I was going to do Olaplex on my own. Everyone was inquiring about it since you typically have to do it at a salon but now Sephora has it! I use it to soften my hair – and really focus on the ends where the damage is the worst. This totally helps — so if you have any bleach on your hair this is a must! It’s like a mask in that you let it set & it helps reduce breakage & just strengthen your hair. Years ago – prior to it being sold in Sephora – I noticed that when my hair girl didn’t use it, my hair broke off more quickly at the ends [on the balayaged pieces].
Lastly, is my one of my top 4 favorite mascaras & you know I try them all! It is the IT Cosmetics Volumizing Superhero mascara. I posted a selfie on my Instagram a couple of weeks ago and got so many questions about my lashes — and what mascara I used. This is totally normal – but I did get extensions for our trip to California. I still put on a mascara after I’m done with my makeup to make them blacker since they get foundation on them, ya know?! But the IT Cosmetics mascara has been a top favorite for about 1 year now – with my natural lashes & with extensions. If I am not wearing extensions and I am in a hurry, this is my go-to mascara for thick lashes w/o using any primer! It doesn’t smear under my eyes either!
Thanks to Sephora for sponsoring todays post.
