ANYWHO! I am so so excited. I literally have been browsing the Sephora site for a week in advance reading up on reviews & also adding things to my cart that I know I will need a re-stock on soon enough. This post is kind of directed towards my favorites really. I will do additionally posts that focus on skincare & hair care as well but this is a catch all of my ‘FAVES’! My skin has been a mess during pregnancy and I’ve found some amazing products that have totally saved me – seriously. I’ll quit rambling & just jump right in..

MUST HAVES

#1. TATCHA SILK CANVAS PRIMER || I’ve written about this in several posts the last 6-8 months but YOU GUYS. This stuff is INSANE. It takes a few times of using it to get how good it is though — I had to use it 2-3x before I realized what a difference it made and now I’m so hooked & tell everyone about it. First of all, I have lots of texture from a history with cystic acne & large pores in general. My skin really needs Retinol but I can’t use it while pregnant so I have to be super on top of my skincare  + primer + application technique. This primer is SO good for filling in pores and smoothing out texture BUT it also acts as a barrier to everything else – aka it is protecting your skin.

#2. IT COSMETICS CONFIDENCE FOUNDATION || HOLY GUACAMOLE. I am in love. Period. That should be enough! I got 6 shades in a PR box from the brand and I had heard that this foundation was just ‘okay’. WELL, I tried it and couldn’t believe me eyes – it is insane. It covers my melasma which says a lot since my melasma looks like dirt all over my face – I literally have a melasma stache. I know this is all part of pregnancy but its not cute and I like to keep it covered when I am going out to an event or a date night or something. Not only does this cover my melasma but it totally gives a ‘smoothing’ effect. I thought it was just me imagining it so I asked my mom if I could apply some to half of her face one day since I had her shade and when she saw herself in the mirror she was like “woah, Emily, that made my skin look so smooth!”. For color reference, I wear Medium Bronze.

#3. SUPERHERO MASCARA || This mascara has always been one of my top 3 favorites but lately it’s been my HG. I keep re-stocking it because it works great w/o lash extensions and it works great WITH them. It doesn’t flake or smear and it comes off easily with warm water.

#4. NAKED RELOADED PALETTE || Okay, so I’ll be fully transparent – I have not loved all of the recent UD launches over the last 12 months. Some of the palettes are not practical for me or just don’t seem to vibe with my skin. This one however is what I have used on the daily for the last couple of months. It’s got a few shimmer shades, transition shades, dark shades, and highlighting shades. It’s small enough that it is not hard to travel with & I can make use out of the colors so well!

#5. JOE MALONE COLOGNE || I’m a major Joe Malone lover and I have been for YEARS. I ordered 4 bottles of the Hand Soap!! My favorite scent of all is the Peony & Blush Suede which is what is featured in the photos above but when it comes to the hand soap I keep a few different scents at different sinks. The bottles are beautifully packaged and I love the way my hands smell after using them!

#6. BENEFIT CHEEKLEADERS PALETTE || I saw this on Jaclyn Hill’s favorites & she mentioned she loved the highlighter in this, ‘Cookie’. So I ran out and grabbed immediately and have not turned back! You can see in the photos above how it pops and is so glowy! I use it on my cheek bones, my cupids bow, & the tip of my nose — and also to highlight my brow bone & inner corner if I am taking the time to go all out. 🙂 The best part is that there is a bronzer shade inside that is great for contour and also a blush shade too so you can get a lot of use out of this palette. [I have the Bronze Mini Size.]

#7. FENTY BEAUTY SETTING POWDER || Also saw this on Jaclyn’s video and she said it was good for dry skin and under the eyes. Well, she was right – SOO right. She and I have different skin coloring and texture but this stuff is AMAZE. I use it to set my concealer [shade Lavender] and it brightens the area and literally blurs out all pores. I use a damp Beauty Blender to apply and you can see it totally transform your skin – it is beautiful! And I LOVE the smell!

#8. ABH BROW POMADE GEL || OH MY GOSH. I just tried this on a whim and I have not looked back. It is so good – for days when you are in a hurry and need a quick brow fix AND for days when you want perfect brows. I use them to lock my brows in place after I fill them in with powder! [I use Soft Brown in all ABH products.]

#9. FARSALI SETTING SPRAY || Another Jaclyn Favorite – but this was the first thing I ordered extra of because I don’t think I can ever go without it. When I finish my makeup I literally think “oh ok it looks fine” but then I spray this and BAM. It makes your makeup look so amazing and glowy and natural. It’s easily one of the best setting sprays I’ve ever used and the smell is SO good.

#10. FENTY BRONZER + BRONZING BRUSH || I got these in PR and OH EM GEE. LOVE! The color is gorgeous and the formula is SO, SO good. I also like the Bronzing + Contour Brush – that’s mainly what I use to do my contour and overall bronzing. [Shade I use the most is ‘I$land Ting’.]

    1. I am wondering that as well. I love IT so much, but wondering if I should try Nars. What is your suggestion, Emily?
