Favorite Parisian Memory

I have SO many fabulous memories from my trip to Paris but this trumps them all!

Among many things, Elizabeth has a beautiful voice. However, I don’t know that she realizes how angelic it is! I asked her to sing at our wedding and she said “Sure, but you can find someone better!”

Reasons why I am obsessed with this video:
1. Totally impromtu. The piano player, Samy & Elle neither knew the music or lyrics.
2. I love this song. My mom and I talk about how we don’t think we will ever get tired of it! Hence, why I suggested they sing it!
3. “Sisters”: Elle and I refer to each other as “sisters” – this started because people often confused us for sisters. One man said we should be called the Lee sisters… “Ug-Lee” & “Home-Lee” (the E Qui Qui in me coming out… “ru’e!”) I end up crying in the video because of her beautiful voice and Laura’s brother’s girlfriend grabs the phone and continues filming- I am so grateful she did – minus the fact that I look like a complete idiot! (Laura is behind Elle helping her with the words! She is from France. She was a foreign exchange student at Elle’s school for a year. She and her family are BEYOND incredible people!)

Anyway, Elle & I are 5 years apart and met while I was a counselor at Green Valley Bible Camp (Craig Frost Week ROCKS!) and she was a camper. We bonded in the bathroom. Crazy, right? We would skip swim time, sneak up to the showers, and start getting ready an hour before everyone else. I mean, having a lot of hairs requires extra blow-dry time! We slowly become more and more close and before I knew it I was graduating from Harding and she was starting at Harding as a freshman. I constantly see her go through the same situations I went through and I try so hard to give her my best advice and wisdom. My older sister, Amanda did this for me and I owe SO much to her for all the wise advice and tips she gave. I often wonder what it’s like to not have a sister figure… I’d be lost as a GOOSE!
