The Must-Have Coat for Winter

With John being from Ohio, each year I am always looking for the perfect winter coat – one that is super warm but also cute & will go with a lot! When we visit his family we usually fly so its hard to pack a lot of heavy coats so I like have one favorite to take. I was SO thrilled when I found this wool blend Vince Camuto coat at Nordstrom! It reminded me so much of a Burberry coat that I have had my eyes on for quite some time now, except this one is a fraction of the cost. (+ it is great quality & super nice fit!) It’s available in grey also & I couldn’t decide which color I needed so I let John pick, ha! I really love both. As I was linking a few other coats for the widget below, I noticed many of my favorite coats from Nordstrom are 25% off. Not going to lie, as I was looking at THIS coat John walked up and was like “are you getting that? It looks like Olivia Pope!” so…. then I added it to my wishlist! 🙂 PS. I also love this pale pink coat — the gold buttons get me everytime.

So I’ve never really watched the James Bond movies in full – but the past week John and I kind of watched them because we are going to the advanced screening of the new one tonight & John is sooooo excited. I am pretty much just excited about a Diet Coke & some popcorn though… that’s adulthood for you I guess!

  11. I love that coat so much!! I got a Kate Spade one for my birthday back over the summer that I plan on wearing all the time in the winter! But I may have to look at this one too, you can never have enough right?? 🙂

  17. Oh my gosh…Austin couldn't be more excited about the James Bond movie either…we're going to a screening on Thursday. Love this plaid and that coat. Living in CA, i never invest in a seasonal coat, but this year with travel etc I think I may need to. I love that this one looks expensive but doesn't break the bank! Great suggestion!! xo

  18. As much as I don't want to think about wearing a winter coat, that coat is beautiful! I also love your outfit, that plaid shirt looks so cute on you! 🙂 My husband is from Ohio too. 🙂 I hope that you enjoy your movie, sounds like a lot of fun and I'm totally with you on the popcorn!! 🙂

  20. I've been looking everywhere to find a coat for my first official Chicago winter, and I absolutely love this one! I love the color – it's different but will still go with everything. (PS I would 100% buy anything my boyfriend said looks like Olivia Pope too, and not just because Olivia is my name!) Great purchase.
