Worth The Money

I’ve tried a plethora of beauty products, from high-end designers to drug store bargains. I’ve found that sometimes spending a little extra is worth it.

You get what you pay for, you know.

I’ve noticed that the beauty products I am most often asked about are items that I didn’t necessarily purchase at the drug store.
I refer to these as my “splurge” items.

Here’s why:

1. Kat Von De’s “Lock It” Foundation $36
This foundation is pretty much always sold out, which tells you just how incredible it is. Even those who don’t like foundation, have fallen for this stuff! For me, it takes one tiny pump to cover my face – and it wears all day long. Sold!
2. Givenchy Noir 4-in-1 Mascara
If you’ve watched this video, you’ll see exactly why I love this stuff! I swear, it is secretly injected with Latisse or something! It makes for some bold, stunning lashes –  but over time it makes your lashes thicker & longer.
3. M.A.C Viva La Glam
It’s not secret I love lipstick, I think I’ve tried them all! I’ve noticed that this particular color of MAC stays on during my entire workday, plus the color is bright & adds a nice pop to an outfit!
4. Tarte Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse
If you read this post, you’ll see the before and after photo of my face without taming my brows! I think that photo will speak for itself, this mousse is waterproof and acts as a “glue” to keep your eyebrows shaped. I use the mousse to make my eyebrows have more of an arch.

Order these online from Sephora.com and get free shipping when you spend $50+ dollars! Plus, if you get them and don’t love them, your local Sephora will allow you to return them! However, I know you will love!

  1. I need to try that brow mousse! I have a total of ten brow hairs on each eyebrow…okay that maybe an exaggeration but my eyebrows are definitely lacking! I use a mineral powder color but it usually fades by the end of the day. Thanks for the recommendation!

  2. thanks for this emily! i've been looking for a good brow powder or pen but this mousse business is interesting. have you ever tried anastasia brow powder? love seeing what other people are loving so thanks again =)

  3. Love this! I tend to splurge on items that "stay" on my skin like foundation and concealer. But, I have resolved not to splurge on mascara. I just haven't found anything worth it. I will have to check this out, as well as the brow mousse! You are gorgeous daily, so it must work 😉
