John & I really don’t really go all out for any holidays just yet… not our anniversary, birthdays, or even Valentine’s. Between the cost of applying for residencies & the outrageous amount of traveling we have to do, we like to keep things pretty simple & cost effective. I pay particularly close attention to the things John talks about or looks at online – most of which relate to his career. The shoes & tie clip became of great importance to him when we were doing residency interviews. The surgery hat is just a splurge – right when we got married I realized all of his scrubs were mis-matched & quickly found out they all came from Goodwill so I got him OSU scrubs. He is in doing cardiovascular surgery this month so I thought the hat would come in handy. (I always think he looks so cute in his scrubs/hat!) Lastly on the Valentine’s Day gift list is the legendary ‘Fierce‘ by Abercrombie (AF’s signature scent). I stayed in the dorm with a few girls Friday night & we were talking about how Fierce is by far one of the best colognes – it’s a bold, masculine scent. (It comes in 4 sizes with the smallest being $44.) Anyway, just sharing a few things for my sweetheart today (we love the Lumineers.)… <3

I have a few questions for you about rotations and residency actually. John is an M4 at UAMS right? Do all M3s and M4s travel as much as him for rotations? How many of the residency interviews were you able to attend? What career do you have that lets you travel along with him so much? That's all!!! Hope you're having a good week!
