Flares..

JACKET: Old Navy | DENIM: Mother | TOP: Old Navy | HEELS: Steve Madden | HANDBAG: Valentino (similar) | WATCH: Michael Kors | BRACELETS: David Yurman (here & here) | RINGS: BaubleBar | LIPS: Heatwave | SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker | EARRINGS: Tory Burch

Okay, this may or may not be the fourth pair of flared denim that I’ve gotten this year. Oops.. This pair is hands down one of my faves – I love the light wash & the rip in the knee. I’m sure I will be wearing these like crazy this spring. I worn them twice over the week actually. In other news, I have been on the hunt for this jacket forever it seems like! I have one that I love, but it is longer & thicker, so I wanted this lighter, looser version for spring! John & I made it our mission this weekend to find one in my size. Apparently only the larger sizes are left in most stores. Thank goodness it is available online!

So my brother’s basketball team won the State Championship Friday night! I made it to the game just in time.. and there’s a story about that… The game was in Hot Springs, AR which is over 4 hours away from Tulsa. (5 hours with the rain!) Before I got on the road, I stopped by the mall to pick something up, i was in hurry and it was raining so I was almost running to my car once I got outside. I drove a solid 4 hours and started getting pretty hungry (my sister told me that the gym only sold Pepsi products so I wanted to get a Diet Coke, ah!). Well, the first place to get a Diet Coke was McDonald’s so I pulled in and ordered nuggets & a Diet Coke and got to the window to pay and realized my wallet wasn’t in my front seat. Anyway, I ended up pulling into a parking spot to look under my seats.. and no wallet. Anywhere. I am one of those people who never carries cash – and this time John had given me cash so that I could pay to enter the gym. But it was in my wallet, I had nothing! Not a driver’s license, debit card, MCALISTER’S TEA CARD(!), lol. Anyway, I was almost in tears bc not only was I hungry, I just knew I’d lost it running to my car & it was probably done for! (Someone was going to get a free tea from McAlister’s!) Anyway, John had just called to let me know he was off work, so he ran by the mall and eventually found out that a woman saw it outside the door and turned it in – she waited with the wallet until the Manager came to the desk and she asked that it be put in a safe! I really wish I could’ve gotten her name so I could write her a thank you note. As for the basketball game, my dad had to meet me at the entrance to pay for me to get in and give me dinner money, lol! I ended up getting home at 4 in the morning, but it was all worth it. Spending time with my family is probably when I have the most fun!

  1. SOO lucky that she was good hearted and turned it in! Glad you got it back in tact. I have always loved flare jeans so I'm glad they're back in style. This time around they'll be worn with heels and wedges instead of sneakers to high school biology. 🙂

  2. Hi! Can you tell me which old navy shirt you are wearing? The link is just bringing me to the shirts page not a specific one. Thx!!!

  3. Hi! I can't figure out which old navy shirt this is. The link is bringing me just to the shirts page but not a specific one. Can you let me know? Thx!!!

  4. I have been seeing flared jeans everywhere lately, love how they look on you. Don't know whether I should look into getting some or not though! May need to just go and try some on. Beautiful as always 🙂

  5. I really enjoy how you put this outfit together! You made me more interested in boot cut jeans as well. From looking at your style, you would absolutely love this place named Fixate Boutique! You go for the same kind of sense of fashion you should definitely go give them a look at fixateboutique.com
