Vacation Must-Haves..

1 || 2 || 3 || 4 || 5 || 6 || 7 || 8 || 9

With summer vacation being right around the corner, I am on the hunt for fun, summery pieces. One thing I can’t get enough of — hats! I loooovve hats year round, but during the summer it’s also a good way to keep sun off of your face & spend less time fixing hair. 🙂 This one is only $14.99 – I had to order it! PS. How cute are those bermuda shorts?!

Question for you all, I don’t really color my hair ever – so this balayage thing is fairly new and a few pieces of my hair are colored and I want to make sure to keep my hair healthy/soft. I use sulfate free shampoo/cond. & heat protectant but I am wondering if I need any special oils/masks/etc.? What are your holy grail hair products for color treated hair??!

  1. I'm like you, rarely color my hair but just got a balayage done too! I LOVE it! So low maintenance and looks natural. So I'm not very familiar with color care but boy is my hair coarse, frizzy, dry and unruly! I ALWAYS use an oil or serum right after the shower in wet hair and an anti frizz cream when it drys just a little. Gotta have my hair products!

  2. This is such a great list of must haves! For your hair I'm a huge fan of the L'Oreal Professional shampoo/conditioner! My stylist recommended it to me after I colored my hair for the first time last year and it's a life saver, I also love the Mythic Oil heat protection cream!

  3. I use the Moroccan oil on my ends before blowdrying, and I use the Hair mask from that line as well. It's the best and my hair is so soft. I use the mask once a week, and the oil every time I shower- but only on the ends.

  4. I have never commented on a blog before, so I hope this doesn't appear a million times! LOL I have ombre hair color and I have used the MoroccanOil haircare line for a while now – the 'Repair' series (both the shampoo & conditioner). I also use the oil, itself, which comes in a pump dispenser. You can use it on wet or dry hair. It smells heavenly!!! 'Hope this helps – always want to 'share the wealth.' 😉 'Love your blog – thanks for all the great fashion ideas!

  7. Kerastase Elixir Ultime is the greatest hair product ever! It's an oil/serum, but it keeps your colored hair so soft and healthy. It saved my hair after I got highlights. My hair is all back to its natural color now, but I will never stop using this product. It's basically liquid gold for your hair! 🙂

  8. Your hair is gorgeous! Take it from an older woman you are best to not start coloring your hair even just small pieces!!! I started highlighting etc. my hair from college and I regret it now. Over the years your hair cannot take it. Now I have to color for gray so I don't have a choice. I notice a difference in my friend's hair when she colors her gray, hers is much healthier because she never colored it before gray. No matter what any hair dresser says, coloring eventually ruins and dries your hair out. Thats just my opinion. embrace your gorgeous dark hair now!!!!

  9. I have been coloring my hair since middle school. Only in the last few years have I decided it is actually important to take care of my hair (I'll blame age and ignorance). Anyways, my very favorite hair product of all times is Jennifer Aniston's Living Proof restore mask treatment. It is far from cheap, but worth it's price!! I often find products that make my hair healthy and soft to the touch make it too soft to hold curl. This Restore Mask is the best of both worlds, it makes your hair very soft to the touch, healthy, and strong and it also still leaves enough texture in your hair that it will hold curl.
