Hello from NYC! I’m flew in last night for a quick project and am leaving today (check it on Snap (@emilyanngemm) to see what I’m up to!)  It is SO cold here – the weather in OK has been so wonderful lately. In fact, if you follow on Snapchat/IG you may have seen I wore this dress Sunday afternoon! I love the aztec embroidery on the ruffle. It’s also around $60 which is a good price point for the quality!

Okay, so when I travel I always download books on my Kindle. I love books that are murder/mystery.. those are actually my favorite types of movies, too. Anyway, I got on the plane and realized I didn’t have a book so I downloaded a book by Karin Slaughter. The last I read by her was SO good – it was called Pretty Girls. Now I’m reading one called Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes.. both are mystery. Anyway, if you are looking for a new book I recommend Pretty Girls.. and I may have another recommendation in a day or so when I finish this one.

I’d love to hear some of your book recommendations. I loved Gone Girl, Girl on The Train, & Luckiest Girl Alive. Have you all read any of those?!?!

  1. If you love murder/mysteries, I'd recommend the "…In Death" series by J.D. Robb. There are so many, you can read them out of order, but I'm OCD and have to go in order. Those will keep you busy for awhile! 🙂

  2. Okay, I feel like we are the exact same person.. I know that sounds creepy & you probably hear that all the time but really:

I'm engaged to a 3rd year medical student, I think Luckiest Girl Alive was the best book EVER!, I have a marketing degree, I love literally everything about Tulsa (my BFF lives there), & I love fashion.

I am so glad I found your blog.. I actually just found your IG as well.. I'm the one who asked about you making a Poshmark earlier today!

Keep up the good work, beautiful!

    XO Miranda

  3. I love the Karin Slaughter books! I don't know if I've read Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes yet, I'll have to check it out! I agree, you might like The Good Girl by Mary Kubika as someone mentioned! It was pretty good.

  4. Hi Emily! What size did you end up getting in these shoes? I just had to order a half size up from my regular size 7.5 in another pair of Jessica Simpson shoes and am wondering if I will need to do the same with these. I'd really appreciate your advice on sizing. Thank you in advance for your help!
