Thought I’d share this outfit that I wore over the weekend while visiting Oklahoma City! It’s a pretty simple look, but one that I’ve been wearing so much lately. John has been on nights for 7 weeks now and it’s taking a toll on both of us – he usually sleeps during the day while I work so we just don’t get very much quality time together. Its just a part of residency of course but we will be happy when this is done. On Saturday he actually had a day off (which is a rare treat!) so we drove over to Oklahoma City for the day. We snapped these while in Bricktown. If you visit the area make sure you go to Big Truck Tacos & also – we went to dinner at Republic which was recommended to me on Snapchat and oh-em-gee. It was so good & John was obsessed bc they had huge TV screens everywhere. Just thought I’d share! 🙂 Also – if you saw on Snap, I picked up a ton of candles from B&BW – their fall scents are out and they were 2 for $24 this weekend. I had a ton of people screenshot the candles so I’ll make sure to tweet the ones I bought today.

Okay so this tee– I ordered it last week bc I saw it on the Nordstrom New Arrivals section and I love the length of it. It’s nice & long which is perfect for fall & winter when you want to wear leggings & a cardigan. Also, you guys know I wear military style jackets SO much. A couple of years back I ordered THIS one from Nordstrom and I get SO much wear out of it (sorry if you’ve seen me over-wear it!) It looks great w/simple outfits or even over a dress. I’m going to link a few of my favorite fall & pre-fall items from Nordstrom in the widget below. <3

Thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring todays post.

  1. Oh my, you surely do have some hard times balancing out work and private times, but just like you said, you'll eventually get it all "rolling" well once the residency is over.
You're looking beautiful in this casual and stylish combo for exploring some new spots/ city!

  2. I love that tee!! This outfit is so Parisian and effortless! I'm glad you and John enjoyed your day together. I admire your positive mindset– like you said, it'll be so worth it when he's done.

My husband works a lot too; it can definitely take a toll on relationships. Then again like the great TLC said, "I don't want no scrub" haha 😉

Hope you're having a great week!!
