Recent Holy Grail Make-Up Products

I’ve had a few requests for an updated make-up tutorial – and I usually do one in December and one in July but w/John’s schedule (he helps me film!) & my daily sickness, I haven’t been able to find a good time! Luckily, my make-up routine is about the same as my most recent one (HERE) so definitely check that out!

For now, I’ll update you all on the products I’ve been using the past 2-3 months that I really love and use on the daily. 🙂 I’ll walk you through how / why I use each one!

First off, I have always worn gold eyeshadow – it is the only one that I really like on my eyes. I found this one during the VIB sale in November but didn’t start using it until December. It is seriously SO good – I have people ask what eye shadow I use all the time! When Elle was here she asked me what I had on and then she was like “okay let’s go to Sephora and get some!” It is so pretty – it reminds me of Aria’s (from PLL) eyeshadow in the intro! Also, it is PERFECT for NYE or any kind of night out. (I wear it daily tho, lol.)

So, when I was in Denver in October, the girls at the Nordstrom counter were all raving about this mascara – saying it is so good and gives your lashes a ‘falsie’ looking effect. You guys know I swear by THIS mascara & THIS mascara (I think most of you even wear those now!!). Well, those two are still amazing and I actually switch out which one I use but lately, I’ve really liked the Legendary Lashes formula by Charlotte Tilbury. If you do a few coats, your lashes really do look thicker and more ‘falsie’ esque.

I’m a huge Hourglass fan – I love all of their make-up, primers, bronzers, etc. I am very loyal to my holy grail foundations though because I have to have a full coverage, long wear foundation. However, Jaclyn Hill used this foundation a TON this fall so I caved and tried it. I don’t think I could use it year round, but I definitely love it during the winter when my skin tends to get more dry. It is not super matte on me, but it is also not oily looking. My girlfriend Savanah and I were in Dallas in November and we both bought it and omg – it looks amazing on Savanah.

If you followed me last year during my 5 months on Accutane you know I am OBSESSED w/ the Agave Lip Mask. It saved my poor lips during Accutane. The lip mask is actually made up of Lanolin (nursing moms use this and its super affordable) but I really didn’t want to be carrying around a tube of nipple cream so I prefer to use a product like Lanolips which is more affordable than the lip mask but also doesn’t say nipple cream.

Okay, this is for sure a splurge item, just a warning. BUT I love love love this brush! It is my go-to bronzer brush. When I went to order it this summer it was on backorder so I waited patiently and it was worth the wait. Luckily, it is not on backorder right now.

The past 4 or so months, I’ve been on a CT makeup kick. I have tried a few products and many of them have stuck! The blushes are so pretty and have a cool concept – you can read how to use them on the description here. The shade I use most is ‘Ecstasy’.

I love MAC Lip Liners – I have like 4 that I SWEAR by but I really love the CT formula! It is more creamy than Mac so it goes on super smooth. I really like Pillow Talk but a lot of YouTubers love Iconic Nude so I may get that one next.  I use lip liner mainly to make my lips look fuller! I like nude colors because it gives a shadow like effect.

Okay, totally not make-up oops. But I get so many questions about my hair so I thought I’d share this brush. I wanted one of these for years and finally got it this summer. It is worth the hype & month!! When my girlfriends or family come over, everyone wants to use it!

I wasn’t kidding when I said I was on a Charlotte Tilbury kick – but this gloss was something I purchased in Denver in October and ever since I got it, I get asked “what gloss were you wearing” ALL the time. The girls in Nordstrom told me that it makes your lips look fuller (which is hard to believe) but because it is super shiny and has little gold flecks, it really does make them look fuller!

I LOVE this product – not only because of the smell, but because I love how it gives my hair some texture. If my hair is lacking volume or feels ‘too soft’ I use this to give it some oomph!!

I mainly use the bronzer side of this – and I SWEAR by it!! I got it in Dallas a few weeks back and honestly wasn’t expecting to be crazy over it – but I love it! It looks natural and sun kissed! It’s easy to use to contour or just bronze alone.

Okay! That is it for now!

Question – who would like a video or VLOG on the nursery?! The painters are coming today and I thought it may be fun to take clips as we get things done so we can see how it changes before the spring! Let me know in the comments! <3

  1. I think the shade is seduction! That's the one that was linked – but I could be wrong. Just ordered the gloss (seduction), the mascara, and the lip liner!! SO excited 🙂 Thanks for sharing. Would love to see the nursery!

  2. I will have to try that foundation stick. My skin gets so dry during the winter months even when I have makeup on. That eyeshadow is so pretty so I will be trying that as well haha. I probably should have read this post BEFORE I went to Sephora haha. Thank you so much for sharing. I always trust your recommendations. I hope that you are feeling good and enjoying your holiday season. Yes to the blog too!! 🙂

  3. Heck yes to the nursery vlog!! And I ordered the blush yesterday purely based on your rec! I was about to place a Nordstrom order and thought to myself I better check your blog to see if I saw anything else I wanted. Of course I did! Haha! Can't wait to try it 🙂

  4. Your lashes are soon beautiful….are they your own, or do you wear false eyelashes? They are so long & beautiful!!!
