APPLE CIDER VINEGAR Q&A
#1 What is the ACV ‘shot’ you drink? || Each morning on a totally empty stomach I make a little concoction and it is seriously GROSS – consider yourself warned. I pour a tablespoon of ACV into a cup and then I use a dropper and add in a couple of drops of cayenne & turmeric as well. I also slice a lemon in half and squeeze fresh lemon into the mixture. [PS. I buy 3 bottles of THIS at a time and keep the extra in the pantry because I drink this every morning and I don’t like running to the store for more! I keep my bottle in the fridge and I keep the droppers in the fridge as well!]
#2 Why don’t use you use the gummies? || I have the gummies! And they don’t taste like ACV which is wonderful BUT its a supplement. So there are added ingredients & fillers – so if you choose to do the liquid you know exactly what you are getting and it is the real deal. BUT! If you are wanting to do this and can’t handle the taste or are worried about your enamel or esophagus – give these gummies a try! ALSO – I like to add in lemon, cayenne, and turmeric so it is nice to just get it done really quickly and I’m not taking in any extra sugar!
#3 Why do you add in lemon, turmeric, & cayenne? || So good friend of mine, Kae’La Mishae [follow on IG!] is who got me hooked on doing this each AM. She is super fit and healthy and looks amazing! Anyway, she is who recommended adding in the lemon and cayenne. The cayenne is said to boost metabolism and maybe help with weight loss as well as help with digestive issues amongst many other things. The turmeric has medicinal properties – which I feel like I am seeing everywhere now! It is also an anti-inflammatory and increases antioxidant capacity – you can google all of these and read more! I am not good with explaining this but I do know that when I travel and I don’t drink this I really miss it! The lemon is beneficial for a plethora of reasons honestly. Heart health, weight loss, kidney stones, anemia, etc. Anyway, I drink it all together and I do not add honey — but a lot of people do since it will help with the taste.
#4 How do I do it- it is so gross?!?!? [+extra info]|| As soon as I wake up I pull the ingredients out of the fridge and mix it — first thing. Before coffee. Before water. Totally empty stomach! I use a straw and I have my water cup [HERE] full and ready to chug as soon as I do it. I use metal straws [HERE]. Using the straw helps to get it to the back of your throat super quickly so that it does not hurt the enamel on your teeth. I chug my entire water immediately after to get rid of the taste and clean out my mouth – but also to jump start my water in take for the day. It takes only a minute to make it and drink it. As I said before – if we travel and I don’t do it – I can feel a huge difference. I like the way it makes me feel! I also take my HA vitamin [using THESE right now] and Care Of vitamins while I am drinking my water. Overall I just like the way it makes me feel. Its detoxifying and makes you not bloated. The combo is said to help with weightless but I am not so sure it actually does. I have done it when not trying to lose weight and when I am trying to lose baby weight and I don’t know that it helps BUT I just like how I feel! I also have bad heartburn and it helps so much. I tried doing it while pregnant at like week7 and I threw it up shortly after SO… I personally would not recommend that haha!
