AFFORDABLE DRUGSTORE BEAUTY FINDS
I’m so excited about today’s post! I am always on the hunt for affordable but GOOD quality makeup, and I have recently found so many good ones in the Beauty Department at Walmart. Since this is a highly requested category, I wanted to pull together some of my favorites below! I’ll try and break it down for you! Also, check the bottom to see the top 10 must haves in beauty from Walmart! [PS. The mouthwash and primer I use will always be musts but I am trying not to be a broken record and rave about them 100x haha!]
EYES
Profusion ‘Mirage’ Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette || This is a beautiful palette with 35 rich shades ranging from neutrals and warm toned browns to an array of amber and maroon hues. I always go for the bronzy/golden shades and there are some super pretty shimmery colors too- perfect for fall and can totally go from day to night easily. I am wearing the palette in the photos above! The shades I used/use most are: Adventurous [crease / transition], Likeable [crease / transition], Chai [crease only], Outgoing [crease only], Compass [crease only], Dazzle [lid], Chatty [lid], & Goddess [shimmer], & Mirage [shimmer]. So essentially, I always have a crease/transition shade that I start off with- and sweep throughout the crease area – its always a good nude shade. So in this palette you have several good transition shades to choose from which is important. [PS. I used the FLOWER Beauty Double Ended Eyeshadow Brush to apply the transition shade – love this brush! Its a must!] Then I use the other end of that same brush to apply a Crease Only shade. This shade is going to be darker – just depends on the occasion or how dramatic you want to go! I typically go for a darker brown or a deep brown and work it only through the edge of the crease and the corner. Again, this palette is made for those of us who want a rich, natural, yet subtle smoky FALL eye! Lastly, I use a shimmer on the lid. I like a glittery / bright pop on the lid – for daily wear but I also love that you can use the metallic shimmers to really glam up a look! I swatched a few in the photos above. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
NYX Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pencil || So I just randomly got this when it first came out because I was intrigued but OMG! It is actually amazing and very functional. I love the fluffing tool on the end! It is a very similar concept to what Fenty Beauty released just recently and I am a fan! 🌟🌟
Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara [shade ‘Very Black’] || This mascara is super good, it makes your lashes look really dramatic and long and gives an instant lift.
LIPS
Maybelline Lifter Lip Gloss [shade ‘Stone’] || So this is a new gloss on the scene and it is REALLY striking in my opinion. I am wearing it in the photos above and I need to address first that I do not love love the shade I have on – I wish I had done a more nude or clear gloss. The formula is amazing however as it is full of Hyaluronic Acid so its going to help draw water to your lips thus keeping your lips hydrated and juicy. It is not sticky or thick at all which is great terms of a good gloss. You don’t want your gloss to be too thick – instead it is smooth & just super shiny. 🌟
NYX Professional Shout Loud Lipstick [shade ‘A La Mode’] || This lipstick is probably the most pigmented and it has a matte finish so you can wear it alone or swipe some gloss on top! I personally love this color and I am wearing it in the photos above with the Maybelline gloss on top! [Wearing this with the NYC liner in Nude Suede Shoes from my last drugstore makeup post!] 🌟🌟🌟
Maybelline Cream Finish Lipstick [shade ‘Nude Lust’] || This lipstick has a super creamy finish, it is formulated with shea butter so it feels super hydrating while still looking highly pigmented. 🌟
Maybelline Shine Cream Lipstick [shade ‘Baddest Beige’] || Okay, this is one of my OG favorites but it still is one of the best affordable lipsticks. It is nude but also super shiny so it gives your lips a smooth look while still being shiny and reflective. 🌟🌟
FACE
Flower Beauty Light Illusion Concealer [shade ‘L1-2 Fair’] || This weightless concealer is amazing at covering dark circles and helping to blur imperfections. It also helps to calm and reduce puffiness with aloe and chamomile extract. Just FYI – this has been in my drugstore posts for 2 years so you probably have seen it multiple times but its something I literals keep with my daily concealers bc it is THAT good! 🌟🌟🌟
L’Oreal Paris Bronze Please! Bronzer [shade ‘4 Taormina Dark’] || An all-over matte bronzer that can be used for face and body. It gives your body a bronzed, glowed effect without being shimmery or sparkly. 🌟
found Nourishing Cream Blush Tint [shade ‘Petal Flush’] || A super pretty, light cream blush tint that gives a good flush without being too overpowering.🌟
found Illuminating Makeup Setting Spray [shade ‘Halo’] || This is a really good setting spray!! It is formulated with honeysuckle extract to provide instant illumination for an all-over glow while soothing and hydrating skin.
Milani Strobelight Glow Powder || I randomly just purchased this and thought I’d try it since I really like the Milani brand and this was a hit for me!! I also think if you want an affordable highlight – the Wet & Wild loose ones I wrote abut in the spring are also SO good!
