Pineapples..

DENIM JACKET: KUT | TANK: Express | SKIRT: Piece Goods | HEELS: Steve Madden | BAG: Rebecca Minkoff | SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker | BRACELETS: David Yurman (here & here) | EARRINGS: Tory Burch | WATCH: Michael Kors | RINGS: BaubleBar | LIPS: Candy Yum Yum

This skirt – seriously, pineapples?! I had to have it. It also comes with a matching crop top! The weather here is un-real – we have been spending so much time outside. I was excited to get to wear this skirt on Sunday.

I think Fitz enjoys the weather more than we do – we got him in the fall and we were scared to do much with him outdoors because he had to get all of his shots. Once he had gotten them, it was too cold to play outside a lot. So now, in the mornings, when he & I get up, he rings his bell like crazy (he was bell trained) and he mainly just wants to go outside to play (he gets up early w/John also – then comes back and sleeps with me!). He runs outside and just starts barking at each side of the fence to get the neighbor’s dogs riled up – it always works, ha! If you follow me on Snapchat – you’ll see some of the shenanigans he pulls in the backyard– like DIGGING the cable cord out of the ground!!! Yes. That’s our dog! I posted on Snapchat a video of John trying to teach Fitz to ‘stay’ – he will not do it. He seems to be a lot like me!! ha! Any tricks to teaching them to stay – we’d like to hear them! 🙂

  2. Thought it was a dress! Such a cute outfit for Spring/Summer 🙂 I have never heard of bell training! Need to google it. So cute, bet he's having the time of his life now, running around 🙂

  3. Emily, you look absolutely gorgeous! I'm seriously obsessed with your skirt (it just joined 7329430 other things on my Nordstrom wish list) and love how you styled it!
And I love when you talk about Fitz because we have a boy puppy just a few months older than Fitz and he is so much trouble as well! But so cute 🙂 haha

  4. I saw the snap chat of John working with Fitz on staying. I tried to comment but it wouldn't let me. What I said was my dog did the same thing when he was a pup. You might try making him sit or lay down, then taking two steps back while saying stay. Then build up from there. That's the only way we could get our boy to learn stay. He has terrible separation anxiety from me, he will whine outside the bathroom door. He is 10 years old! LOL

Anyhow, love this skirt. Yay for spring!

  5. tricks to teach stay….we paid someone to train our dogs so that is my advice. It really was the best $ spent on them. Mine are also shock collar trained – we never shock them but there's a buzzer (pulse) that we use when they bark at the neighbors, dig, etc.. for whatever reason it only takes putting the collar on them and they are well behaved most of the time and on the rare instance we just pulse them and they stop what they shouldn't be doing (again, our trainer did the initial training so I have no idea what went into it but it works but they also know when they aren't wearing it, ugh).

  6. PetSmart offers a puppy training course that is 6 weeks long. It is wonderful. They learns the basic commands and also just basic "doggy manners." They even get to have a graduation!
