John, like most guys, loves spectator sports. Prior to medical school, he played hockey, basketball, baseball, and probably some others. When he relocated to Blacksburg, he was invited/recruited;) by a rugby team.
Thinking I would learn about this game that he loves, I became a spectator….for one of his games! That was too much for me! It was crazy-physical! It’s like football without all of the padding! Fortunately, he suffered no injuries. Okay, maybe I’m an over protective wife! Anyway, I did glean a powerful tidbit from that experience:
The best thing about rugby is those fun, big, bold stripes! Sooo, this morning when John saw my uniform, he liked it.
