FALL WEEKENDS INSIDE WATCHING SPORTS
What a title, right?! ^^ LOL. Anyone else experience ESPN all weekend long?! I grew up with my dad and brother watching sports on the weekends and now they come over to join John for the exact same thing! I can’t escape it! Anyway, we try to make it semi-fun for the kids / girls. My SIL and sister are like me and don’t really watch sports so we always have other things going on BUT during the OSU game last weekend Luke and I made cookies! It was gloomy out so we ran to Wal-Mart and grabbed some goods to have a little indoor watching party. All Luke cared about were the cookies!! Literally – all he kept talking about – he was SO thrilled!! I used a separate oven to bake the ones for him but he wanted to pretend to be cooking the batch that was inside of the oven in the photos!
I grew up running to Wal-Mart for everything and its nice to have Wal-Mart neighborhoods now. We get a majority of our groceries there now. My sister was in town the other day and grabbed those cute Halloween napkins while she was there! I ended up going back to get some snacks for our little football watch party and made it Halloween themed. 🙂 I figure we will take full advantage of the bowls/ trays in the future as well. Luke LOVES “pun-kins”– so he is seriously obsessed with these little pumpkin bowls I used for ques0 and salsa– this lazy susan is genius, btw!! He uses them for cereal haha. Anyway, make sure you check the Wal-Mart site if you are hosting any fun parties for game days!! I will make sure and link some of our favorites below! [My fam has a strong history with THESE cookies– but THIS is my all time favorite candy!]
Anyway, if you are having a fun tailgating party or staying in and watching sports with your family Wal-Mart has everything from TVs, sound bars, grills, video games, snacks, family games, etc!
PS. THIS marble serving paddle looks is gorgeous and looks expensive but it is not bad at all!
Thanks to Wal-Mart for sponsoring todays post.
