The ‘IT’ Dress for the Summer

Okay, so as soon as I laid eyes on this dress I hit “add to cart” and checked out as quickly as I could and I may or may not have paid for expedited shipping.. because I really love this dress. And guess what! When it got to my house – it was a PAIR OF BABY SHOES! Just my luck, lol. Really though, you all know I have been wearing this olive green so much this summer – so when I saw this dress w/the feminine detail & in the olive shade I had to snag it. Not gonna lie, I wore it two days in a row – it is such a light material and feels good in this crazy heat. 

In other news, I wasn’t planning on skipping posting yesterday but to be honest,  I was really in shock when I found out about the passing of Leslie Sisti (writer of Blonde Ambition). Before I ever had a blog, I read hers. We were living in Virginia and I found her blog randomly and I loved following because not only was she from Arkansas (my homestate), but she was just a doll, so funny, beautiful, & just cool.  I think everyone who knows Leslie  from the blog world is kind of like me – all in shock by the news. It is just devastating – she has two little girls (under the age of two) and of course her husband Stephen. Anyway, I’ve just been trying to wrap my head around it – she was 30 only 30 years old. Please keep Leslie’s family in your prayers & if at all possible look into donating to her Go Fund Me for her girls college/wedding/etc.

  18. Oh I will definitely keep Leslie's family in my prayers! I've seen this dress while shopping the nsale for a while! You're just like me!! I've been obsessing over olive tones lately!

  26. What a tragedy, Emily. I'll be praying for Leslie's husband, daughter and family. I went to her blog and she seems like a very genuine person. Did you ever meet her or did y'all just know each other via blogging and social media?
