10 Items I Always Pack In My Travel Bag

Any time we are packing for at trip – I am usually stressed out and panicked about forgetting something really important! It is even more challenging when you add cute baby Luke to the mix and I have to have a gazillion things packed for him! Luke’s done a lot of traveling in his 4 months with us – I think he’s made like 4 road trips to Dallas, been to two countries, and then to LA. That being said, one thing I’ve learned is that almost anything can be purchased when I get to the destination – it totally isn’t a big deal. However, there are a few items that are either pricy or hard to find that I like to make 100% sure I’ve tossed into my makeup/cosmetic bag! The 10 items above are must-haves for me (my skin) and I need them even more when we are on the go!

10 Items I Always Travel With

#1 DKNY Deodorant | I have mentioned this in a post before – but yes – this is a $25 deodorant and YES it is worth it. My mom totally rolled her eyes at it when she saw it – then she tried it and next thing I know I am buying her some for her stocking stuffer! One of the reasons I travel with it is because I loathe smelling badly – and the last thing I want to be thinking about when I am in a new location for only a few days is smelling badly. Trust me, with this you won’t smell bad! It is not a crazy scent at all – just fresh and clean and wonderful!

#2 Valentino Perfume ‘Donna’ | Speaking of smelling… umm this perfume is the bomb dot com. When I was in LA w/my cousins, Elle, mom,  & aunt – everyone kept coming in to get this perfume! It seems like most of the time girls all have different opinions on scents/fragrances but this is one that I think everyone is bound to like! Also, it is long wearing – it sticks to you and your clothing well.

#3 Under Eye Patches | I use these at home every now and then but I typically only use them while traveling – especially if I am missing a lot of sleep. Lack of sleep really shows in my under eye area so I always pack these under eye patches bc they brighten the area and make them less puffy looking!

#4 GLOPro Microneedling Tool | Okay, I think I’ve talked about this 1.2 million times in the past month but REALLY. I don’t know what I was doing without it! It doesn’t hurt too badly and always keeps my skin plumped and smooth looking!

#5 Lorac Pro Contour Palette | This has been my go-to for years now – I love the lighter shades for brightening my under eye area and the darker for contouring!

#6 Lancome Youth Activating Masks | I order these in big packs because my mom always takes a few when she comes! We both are obsessed – she told me that she sees a huge difference in her skin when doesn’t have anymore left. I like traveling with them for the same reasons as I do the under eye patches – they just hydrate and restore my skin. Airplanes cause your skin to get dry and lose a lot of water so it is important to stay hydrated and moisturized.

#7 Kiehl’s Hyrdating / Plumping Serum | I mentioned this in my most recently Makeup Tutorial Video – this stuff is a game changer! It just helps to brighten & liven up the skin. I apply this before my moisturizer. Then I apply my makeup and there’s a big difference w/o these product.

#8 Caviar Dry Hair Oil | My friend at Sephora mentions this to me last time I was in and I decided to buy it and try it and ended up loving it as much as she guessed I would! It basically helps to keep your hair smooth and tame and not frizzy (w/the humidity in the south that is tough!). Its a light weight oil so it doesn’t make your hair gross or anything – just makes me smooth & shiny.

#9 Volume Powder | Holy Smokes – mentioning it again bc it is THAT good. I had to be on a waiting list for like a month to get this! It is worth it though!

#10 ExfoliKATE | I swear by this while traveling – at least use it every other night to get ready of dead, dry skin! Just resurfaces everything and your products will soak in better!
