LOS ANGELES TRIP IN REVIEW

Okay this is totally random BUT a few weeks ago I went to Los Angeles – it’s kind of a yearly tradition to go each August. John was taking his board exam Mid-August and studied almost all summer so the two days before the exam Luke & I got out of town so he could really study. It worked out really well because Elle is in graduate school at NYU & she happened to be in between semesters. And then my mom’s school got postponed because they are doing some construction in front of the school & it didn’t get finished in time so the buses couldn’t get through SO basically she happened to be off — so she flew w/Luke & me bc I don’t know if I could fly w/him alone just yet. 🙂 My moms sister who is also her very best friend lives right outside of LA & my cousins live in Laguna (that’s who I visited in January) so we all met up in LA and stayed together and it was seriously so fun! My cousin Samia is 15 and she is one of my favorite people – ever! She loves taking photos and using my camera when she is with me so she took all of my photos. Unfortunately, the card some up went corrupt and we lost EVERY single photo. I actually overnighted the SD card to a company in Vegas who works on saving NASA’s data and they told me that if they could recover the photos it would take ab 2-3 weeks and cost quite a bit and I was concerned that the things may be sold out so I decided to just not save the data. Luckily, Elle had a few of the photos of us saved on her computer so I have a few saved!

I really loved this trip to LA in particular because the weather was so perfect! It was cool in the mornings and evenings – I wore sweaters at night typically. It was more of a girls trip so we just shopped, ate at Lemonade (twice!!!), got dessert, strolled Luke around, got coffee, etc. My mom had never been to Rodeo before so I was REALLY excited to go there w/her – and she loved it so much. I was also excited to take her to Lemonade and Elle and I talked it up big time os I was worried she may be underwhelmed but nope – she loved it so much! She asked the go there the next night for dinner! We laughed because we were in LA w/all kinds of cool restaurants and we ate at Lemonade twice. My mom is super healthy and loves veggies so she really liked their variety.
