I’m typically not one to wear bodycon dresses – at all, but the over the past year or so I’ve gotten to where I really like them – especially paired with cardigans, jackets, chambray, etc. I feel like they can be worn a million times in a million different ways. I feel like they can give an edgy vibes which is what I really like about them. I do prefer them to be midi length though. One of the reasons I never really gave them a shot was because my upper body has always been XS/S and my lower body has always been a medium so I am totally disproportioned but it is not horrible – although years ago I thought it was, lol. I will say, the only time it has been a nuisance was when shopping for swimwear and you had to buy the tops and bottoms together in a store. So I’d have to buy the medium swimsuit and the top would be WAY too big.

Anyway, I recently found this dress online and ordered immediately because it is one I can see myself wearing so much this fall – with booties, sneakers, heels, etc. It’s got a henley necklace which gives it a super casual vibe making it great for everyday wear. I really don’t talk much about body types on here but I always try to share info on sizing information. We all have different body types – I have friends who wear a medium in their tops and a small in their bottoms and I always think “omg I would love that!’ – but the grass is always greener, ya know! Anyway, this dress is ideal for someone with a more ‘hotdog’ shaped figure, but it works for the ‘hamburger patty’ shape as well – especially if you like the Kardashian look, lol!

  1. Emily this dress if gorgeous on you! I typically am not one to wear body con dresses either, until I became pregnant. I love how they flatter a baby bump! I am totally getting this dress to style with my bump 🙂 Happy fall!
