SEPHORA VIB HOLIDAY EVENT 2021
Ahh, Sephoras big event has begun! 🎉 If you are not familiar, Sephora does a special event for their tiered program each November – here are the details:
It is called the Sephora Holiday Savings Event. It’s the time to stock up on your favorites, try new things, or just buy the things you have had your eye on. Depending on where you on in their Beauty Insider Tier, you can get up to 20% off of your entire purchase during the Sephora Savings Event. I do a lot of Sephora shopping through the year so I usually am in the Rouge tier and try to shop before it gets too crazy- things tend to sell out quickly so add to 🛒 cart & check out as soon as you can. I usually buy Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers, & fun things for the kids’ teachers during this event.
Here’s how it works:
Rouge members get 20% off [Friday, November 5 -Monday, November 15] *if you are Rouge – make sure you check out before VIB starts because items tend to sell out when VIB begins!*
VIB members get 15% off [Tuesday, November 9 – Monday, November 15]
Insider members get 10% off [Thursday, November 11 – Monday, November 15]
ALSO, all members receive 30% off all Sephora Collection from 11/5-11/15.
Use code YAYHOLIDAY to redeem online, and just a heads up that the code can be used multiple times! I do Sephora hauls throughout the year & I always write in each of those posts to make sure you become a part of their Beauty Insider club because it is not only free, but it gets you deluxe samples, birthday gifts, AND qualifies you for this promotion. [If you are not a Beauty Insider, it is not too late. Join now to get access to the Holiday Savings Event.]
Today’s blog post is more or less a “GUIDE” for the best of each category! Tomorrow I will post 12 must haves… I tried to do 10 but it ended up at 12, lol! Okay here we go!
SEPHORA VIB HOLIDAY EVENT FAVORITES
Nars Soft Matte Liquid Foundation || [Shade: ‘Barcelona’] I purchased this when it released last year and I can’t find anything that competes with it. It is matte but not dry or cakey. It covers incredibly well – just the smallest drop will go a long ways. It dries do beautifully & wears VERY long wear. I try new foundations regularly and I will have to say- not much can beat this if you want a full coverage, long wearing, matte finish!
Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation || [Shade: ‘3.5N’] Okay, this foundation is like…. woahhhhhhh. You guys. I have pretty tricky skin & it has scars & pigment so I have to have some coverage. Well, this foundation is like an all in one. It is medium coverage but can be built up. It is lightweight & ‘glowy’ but dries down to a natural, flawless finish. Now, if you need full coverage – you may not love this but I will hav to say I recommend trying this out. Now, if you are OG for following me & love the NARS one above – use a drop of each and HOLY COW. Talk about insane!! But the Dior Glow on its own is gorgeous. There is an IGTV on my Instagram feed that is filter free in sunlight with me applying this and you’ll see how beautiful it applies & wears.
Huda Beauty Foundation Stick || [Shade: ‘300N Latte’] Okay, mentioning this because it is just good. A solid, easy to use, good foundation. This is Coco’s JAM! [Lol, I just added to cart bc her birthday is this month and she always borrows one!] This has great coverage, applies super easily, & just looks good. I have tried a lot of Huda makeup and this and her lip liners are some of my favorites! Also, if you like the Glow foundation above – you can use this on scars, acne, dark spots, and then then the Glow on top & it is really nice.
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer || [Shade: ‘1N’] I think I’ve beat this one into the ground with home much I talk about it. Again, there’s an IGTV on applying it and MANY blog posts. This concealer is a MUST. Absolute MUST. Any age. Any skin type. Its incredible. It is not drying, cakey, etc. Covers fully and is long wearing – I think it claims 24HRS?! No idea if its true but if this tells you anything – I just purchased my third tube while in Vegas last weekend!
Bare Minerals Broad Spectrum Concealer || [Shade: ‘Summer Bisque’] Another hot item that I talk about way too much but this is so incredible for no makeup looks or just to set or brighten you under eye area! This is one of my holy grail products.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer || [Shade: ‘4’] Okay, so this is ‘newer’ to me. I purchased this on a whim about 6-7 weeks back when it was released. I had not seen any hype on it so I just thought I’d try it and wow. This sucker is FULL wham-bam coverage. 🤯🤯🤯 Like, wow. Now, it is not as creamy and flawless as the Dior one BUT when I am doing a full glam look to go all day- I use this first to highlight / cover dark spots and let it sit while I cream contour. Then I pump my Glow foundation onto a dampened Beauty sponge [Favy Brand] and blend it all in together. It instantly highlights and covers and then wears SO well.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Color Corrector || [Shade: ‘Medium’] This is the magic trick for dark circles. The ingredients speak for themselves – they are made to smooth & blur out the under eye are and it works. I am on my second one of these. I probably go through one per year. The medium ‘salmon’ color counteracts the dark circles – correcting them. If you use concealer on dark circles, you can make the under eye area a grey color . If you use this before concealer – you totally bright the area.
Too Faced Born This Way Concealer || [Shade: ‘Porcelain’] This concealer has been in like 6 posts over the last 2-3 years – but for good reasons. It covers VERY well & wears long time. It is not dry or cakey – but I definitely need to have hydrated skin to use this one. You can use this to brighten & highlight and use a dark shade to contour.
Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder || [Shade: ‘Satin Blanc’] I am on my second ‘tub’ of this powder – it is high end but it does outperform the others. Not to mention, it smells INCREDIBLE. It is an all time favorite of mine!
Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate || [Shade: ‘Intensity 01’] One of my favorite long time cream contours – so easy to use and blend.
By Mario Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick || [Shade: ‘Medium Dark’] A new favorite – I use one of his brushes to blend it out on my cheeks, jaw, nose, & forehead. I actually really like this for an intense contour.
Givenchy Teint Couture Healthy Glow Bronzer || [Shade: ’03 Ambre Saison’] A fan favorite – I hear lots of makeup artists rave about this so I tried it & I get the hype.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush || [Shade: ‘Radiant Magenta’]
Melt Cosmetics Cream Blushlight || [Shade: ‘Honey Thief’]
Dior Backstage Rosy Glow || [Shade: ‘001 Pink’]
Melt Cosmetics Digital Dust Duo Blush || [Shade: ‘Buzz Kill’]
Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand High Blush || [Shade: ‘Pinkgasm’] I just got this in PR a few weeks ago and wow. I love I just dot on with the applicator tool and then blend it out by stamping with my dampened beauty sponge! I do use a separate powder blush on top of it to set it more or less but it leaves the most beautiful sheen / glow!
Givenchy Prisme Libre Highlighter || [Shade: ‘Organza Or’]
Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlighter || [Shade: ‘Enlighten’] This is a new holiday edition product that I’ve quickly fallen for – despite the price tag. It is SO beautiful!
Natasha Denona Bronze Palette Eyeshadow || This is an oldie but still a goodie! Forever a favorite!
Charlotte Tilbury Eye Liner || One of my favorite waterline liners! I also really like the MUFE one – I got it in PR this summer and have been using it a lot too.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara || An old favorite but still such a good one!
Ilia Fullest Volumizing Mascara || Ummm, I love love this mascara. Really good for volume & thickness!
Surratt Lash Curler || This lash curler is usually a hot seller during the Sephora Events because it is THAT good. It curls your lashes unlike any other!
Makeup by Mario Master Crystal Reflector || [Shade: ‘Bronzite’] My old school favorite top coat is discontinued so I started using this and spraying with Fix+ and it gives that same beautiful shimmer on the lid that my other one did.
Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer || [Shade: ‘Warm Medium Brown’]
Too Faced Pomade in a Pencil Eyebrow Shaper & Filler || [Shade: ‘Dark Brown’] This is one of the longest wearing brow pencils I have ever worn – easy to use and STAYS PUT.
ABH Dual Brow Powder || [Shade: ‘Soft Brown’] Oldie but a goodie! Probably one of the older of my holy grail items – easy to use and never fails on me!
DiorShow Pump N’ Brow Gel || Oldie but a goodie! So nice for filling in brows, keeping them tamed up or down or sideways! I like that it has color and gives a fuller look to the hairs.
ABH Brow Freeze and Brow Freeze Spatula || Hands down the best ‘brow freezing’ product I’ve tried – and I think I’ve tried them all! I keep my brows laminated and have since before covid. Anytime they grew out and I couldn’t get them laminated I would try different products and this is easily the best for the laminated brow look.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick || [Shade: ‘KIMKW’] Holy grail staple – always!
Rouge Dior Forever Liquid Transfer-Proof Lipstick || [Shade: ‘100- Forever Nude’]
Rouge Dior Forever Liquid Transfer-Proof Lipstick || [Shade: ‘999- Iconic Dior Red’]
Fenty Beauty Lip Gloss || [Shades: ‘Fu$$y’ & ‘$weetmouth’]
Buxom Plumping Gloss || [Shade: ‘White Russian’]
Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip || [Shade: ‘Rose’] – amazing for no makeup or light makeup days!
Givenchy Le Rose Perfecto Liquid Balm || [Shade: ’17 Nude Chill’]
Caudalie Instant Detox Mask || This is a TikTok viral product that is actually worth the hype. HOLY COW. I can not recommend this enough. Great for oily skin but also amazing for skin like mine – that is dry and needs pore shrinkage!!
Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Pads || Okay, if you need any help with acne, pores, etc. – I can’t recommend these enough.
Fenty Skin Butta Drop Whipped Oil Hydrating Body Cream || THE BEST STUFF EVER. This stuff saved my legs this summer & fall.
Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub || I’ve including this in numerous blog posts and I have yet to find anything that can compete with it. It is SO satisfying and the scrub is the perfect texture.
Biossance Squalane + BHA Pore-Minimizing Toner || I love this toner – like a lot. It helps with pore size & I use it AM mostly.
Patrick Ta Major Glow Dewy Milk Mist || One of my newer favorite setting sprays since Farsali is gone!
Isle of Paradise Self Tanner Eraser || A must for me! Spray on and let set for 5 minutes and then shower and scrub and it helps loosen up your self tanner / dead skin!
Isle of Paradise Express Ultra Dark Tanning Mousse || I purchased this during the spring and quickly fell in love! One of the better dark, dark self tanners I’ve tried.
Dr. Dennis Gross Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Overnight Texture Renewal Peel || Okay, this is a pad that you use at night that has a combo of retinol & Ferulic in it. If you have followed my Instagram stories about skincare – you know I’m a huge fan of both ingredients. I actually give credit to Skinceuticals CEFerulic & Retinol for improving my skin post Accutane. These are a quick & easy way to start incorporating more powerful products into your routine. I use one of these after cleansing and then I use the CT Magic Night Cream & my skin is like GLOWING in the AM. Now these are full of good, ingredients so they may burn a bit if you are new to using potent products but these are something I will be re–purchasing and would recommend.
CT Magic Night Cream || Mentioned^^ and in like 100 other blog posts – these is a one of the few products in my skincare routine that is not medical/pharmaceutical grade. However, my mom, sister, & me go through these little tubs like crazy. We all swear by it. It is a little sticky but if you have dry skin or dull skin – you will wake up and know what we all love it so much.
Charlotte Tilbury Cryo-Recovery Lifting Face Mask with Acupressure Technology || I LOVE THIS THING SO MUCH. The best if you wake up puffy!!
Fenty Body Sauce || [Agave Spice]
L’Oreal Steam Pod Styler [Straightener]
T3 Micro Curling Iron || 1″- I have been using this for years now and it is always a go-to.
Moroccan Oil Glimmer Shine Mist || SO good! Instantly makes your hair super shiny! I am posting a video soon all about how I curl my hair with THIS new curling iron by t3Micro and you see me use this for the first time – you will see how shiny it is!
Dry Bar Teasing Comb & Brush || I have 3 of these bc they are that good! I use on Soapie too for her space buns each day.
IGK First Class Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo || This is new to me but WOW. So good. Helps remove all of the stuff like hairspray, shine spray, dry shampoo, texture spray, etc that you accumulate in between washes. It removes it and your hair will be SO much softer and cleaner.
IGK First Class Dry Shampoo || This is one of the first products mentioned in a Sephora haul and you all bought it out. It is easily the best dry shampoo out there – easily. I have shared this on my blog in my Sephora Sale blog posts for 5 years straight now!
Kérastase Fresh Affair Refreshing Fine Fragrance Dry Shampoo || If you need a light dry shampoo – this is my go-to. The one above is amazing and good for super dirty hair or hair with a lot of oil. This is a lighter formula and it doesn’t make your hair feel sticky/gunky!
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Heat Styling Spray || I loveeeeeeee this stuff so much! Like, can not rave about it enough. I have mentioned it a lot on my stories the past 8 weeks or so but its worth it! Helps keep your curls in tact after protecting hair from heat AND it keeps your hair smoother.
Color Wow Root Cover-Up Powder || I use this to fill in hair line and cover grays and it is a total game changer if you have hair loss, grays, receding
TOOLS & BRUSHES MUST-HAVES
Jo Malone Hand and Body Wash || I. always. buy. extra. when. on. sale. SO GOOD.
